Institut under the PASCH (Schools: Partners for the Future) initiative, a group of Millennium students travelled to Germany to put their classroom German into practice. The journey offered them the chance to explore the country, experience its culture, interact with local residents and discover how the language they had studied in textbooks was used in everyday situations.
Beyond language learning, the trip provided students with valuable exposure to daily life in Germany. They navigated unfamiliar cities, interacted with German students of their own age and experienced new cultural environments firsthand. For many, it was their first opportunity to communicate in German for an extended period outside the classroom, helping them build confidence and develop practical communication skills.
The experience also gave students a deeper understanding of German culture and the importance of using language in real-world settings. Conversations, travel and everyday interactions allowed them to identify gaps in their knowledge that may not be apparent through written exercises alone. Through the PASCH programme, students returned with not only improved language skills, but also greater independence, cultural awareness and memorable experiences that extended their learning far beyond the classroom.
