The Millennium Early Years

Reception, Playgroup, Junior Montessori & Advanced Montessori

A Thoughtful Beginning to Lifelong Learning

At The Millennium Early Years, we offer an exceptional start to education, one that balances warmth with purpose, and joyful discovery with strong developmental foundations.

Every experience is carefully designed to help children feel secure, capable, and inspired to learn. Our environment reflects the values of a premium international early years setting: calm, beautifully considered, and academically purposeful, while always remaining deeply responsive to the needs of young children.

We do not just prepare children for school; we prepare them for life.

To lay the strongest foundations for lifelong learning by nurturing curious minds, confident voices and emotionally secure children within enabling environments where every child can flourish.

This vision reflects our commitment to holistic development-mental, intellectual, academic, physical, social, emotional, and cultural- ensuring that every child begins their Millennium journey with strength and confidence.

The MILE Framework is the pedagogical heart of The Millennium Early Years shaping how we teach, nurture, and enable meaningful learning across every classroom.

M — Meaningful Play & Exploration

Through purposeful play, sensory discovery, movement, and hands-on experiences, children build creativity, independence, and strong cognitive foundations.

I — Inquiry through Interaction

Children are encouraged to question, think, collaborate, and express ideas, while educators guide learning through thoughtful and responsive interaction.

L — Language, Literacy & Life Skills

Language-rich environments support communication, early literacy, confidence, and essential life skills. This learning is thoughtfully extended through the effective use of EdTech within the learning environment, where children engage with phonics activities, language games, and early mathematical concepts through interactive, age-appropriate technology.

E — Enabling Environments & Emotional Wellbeing

Purposefully designed learning spaces and nurturing relationships ensure that children feel safe, valued, and ready to develop resilience, independence, and a strong sense of belonging.

Foundation for Lifelong Learning

World of Learning and Discovery

Our Early Years Programme is designed to provide an environment that builds curiosity, creativity, and lays the foundation for a lifelong love of learning. TMEY comprises four levels: Reception, Playgroup, Junior Montessori, and Advanced Montessori for children aged 2.5 to 5 years. Each level is designed to nurture young minds in a safe environment. Lets explore the key pillars of our programme.

Reception and Playgroup classes are for our youngest learners and they focus on social, emotional, and cognitive development through play-based activities. Children are encouraged to explore, experiment, and express themselves which helps in developing a love for learning from an early age through positive association.

The Junior Montessori programme builds on the groundwork laid in Reception and Playgroup. It introduces structured learning and the main focus is still exploration and discovery. Hands-on activities and materials help young learners develop independence, focus, and organisational skills.

In Advanced Montessori, learners continue to develop holistically in a more structured environment which is important as it prepares them for the primary years programme.  Language, mathematics, cultural studies, and real-world activities are all part of the curriculum. The aim is to improve and build cognitive, social, and emotional development.

Key Areas of Development:

  • Personal, Social, and Emotional Development (PSED): Learners interact openly with peers, explore their interest in others, and learn about social behaviour, problem-solving, cooperation, turn-taking, and consideration of others.
  • Communication, Language, and Literacy (CLL): Learners work their language development through activities like role-play, singing, rhyming, and reading to develop listening, understanding, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge and Understanding of the World Around (KUWA): Learner’s sense of the physical world is expanded through materials, classroom setup, and teacher-facilitated discussions.
  • Mathematical Development (MD): Learners develop recognition skills and use of simple relationships and patterns, basic shapes, spatial concepts, and numbers through daily activities.
  • Physical Development (PD): Learner’s motor and sensory processing skills are developed with activities and special equipment to build skills, strength, and endurance in a playground environment.
