Following years of national recognition, media coverage, and distinguished participation, MIPD proudly presents the Annual Teacher Development Conference (TDC 2025) – Chapter XV, themed #FutureReady – Cultivating Learner Agency. Over the years, TDC has welcomed eminent scholars, policymakers, global speakers, diplomats, innovators, and thought leaders, establishing itself as the country’s largest and most influential conference for teacher development.
TDC 2025 brings together more than 2,000 teaching and learning practitioners, and 50 global and national speakers for two immersive days of shared learning, dialogue, and professional renewal. The conference features a rich programme of thematic panel discussions, keynote addresses, interactive sessions, and Pakistan’s largest Knowledge and EdTech Exhibition, creating a dynamic environment for inspiration, collaboration, and pedagogical growth.
In an era marked by artificial intelligence, digital acceleration, and global interdependence, the theme “Cultivating Learner Agency” embodies the urgent need for education systems to evolve. Today’s learners must be equipped not only to absorb information but to navigate complexity, ask meaningful questions, exercise sound judgment, and shape their own learning journeys with confidence and purpose. Learner agency places students at the centre of the educational experience, empowering them to take ownership of their growth, while developing the adaptability, creativity, ethical reasoning, and digital fluency essential for the future.
For teaching and learning practitioners, this theme signifies a profound professional shift—from delivering curriculum to designing meaningful learning experiences that nurture curiosity, resilience, collaboration, and reflective thinking. As mentors and facilitators, teachers play a central role in cultivating the innovators, problem-solvers, and changemakers of tomorrow.
TDC 2025 continues its mission of strengthening teaching practice by connecting local experience with global innovation. As a national forum of purpose and possibility, the conference encourages teaching and learning practitioners to rethink their roles, reimagine their classrooms, and renew their sense of professional identity and moral purpose. It seeks to deepen understanding of learner agency, inspire future-ready pedagogy, explore the ethical and practical implications of AI and digital learning, and promote well-being and reflective practice among teachers. By bringing teachers together from diverse school systems, the conference reinforces a shared vision of equitable, inclusive, and sustainable education that prepares every learner to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
As Pakistan’s most significant platform for teacher learning, TDC 2025 continues to celebrate academic practitioners as agents of change and architects of knowledge—individuals whose work shapes not only classrooms, but the future of communities, nations, and society at large.
TDC 2025 explores the evolving landscape of education through eight interconnected thematic strands that reflect the multidimensional roles of teachers and learners in a changing world:
Each panel discussion will feature one Thematic Keynote Speaker & Moderator alongside four panelists, each contributing unique insights to advance thought leadership and practical innovation in teaching and learning.
The Pakistan–China Friendship Centre will host an immersive, multi-zone experience designed to inspire and connect educators across disciplines.
