Mrs. Riffat Mushtaq
She founded the institution in 1988 and shaped its earliest philosophy: that a school's responsibility extends past examinations into character, curiosity and citizenship.
Nearly four decades of education, from the earliest years through to university entrance, across every province, Islamabad and Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
The Millennium Education Group is one of Pakistan’s largest and most established education networks, serving learners from their earliest years through to university entrance. What began in 1988 as a single school in Rawalpindi is now a nationwide system of purpose-built campuses across every province, Islamabad and Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
As an extension of the Roots School System, founded by Mrs. Riffat Mushtaq (Aizaz-e-Fazeelat), and under the leadership of Dr. Chaudhry Faisal Mushtaq (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz), we follow a developmental, learner-centred model built on an inquiry-based curriculum. Our classrooms are organised around questions rather than dictation. Learners investigate, connect subjects and defend their reasoning, because that is what the 21st century asks of them.
In April 1988, a single school opened at 74 Harley Street, Rawalpindi, founded by Mrs. Riffat Mushtaq. Her premise was uncommon at the time: that Pakistani children deserved an education measured against international standards, delivered in a classroom that treated them as thinkers rather than recipients.
That school became the Roots School System and grew into a national institution. The Millennium Education carries the same founding idea into a new era of international qualifications, digital learning and global partnership. The scale has changed. The intent has not.
She founded the institution in 1988 and shaped its earliest philosophy: that a school's responsibility extends past examinations into character, curiosity and citizenship.
One of Pakistan's most recognised voices in education, he has led TME's expansion into international qualifications, technology-enabled learning and cross-border academic partnerships.
To nurture holistic development in every learner: mental, intellectual, academic, physical and cultural.
To empower learners to excel as well-rounded individuals in the 21st century, equipped to meet global challenges head-on.
Our philosophy follows the four pillars of learning set out in the United Nations framework for 21st-century schooling and global citizenship.
The knowledge, inquiry habits and critical reasoning that make a learner independent.
Turning understanding into applied capability, enterprise and problem-solving.
Developing character, confidence, ethics and self-awareness.
Cultivating empathy, collaboration and responsible citizenship.
Underpinning all four are the values we return to in every classroom: diversity, creativity, vitality and excellence.
A child can join us in the Early Years and leave for university without ever changing systems. Each stage is designed to hand off cleanly into the next.
The Millennium Early Years
Play-based foundation in literacy, numeracy and social confidence.
The Millennium Primary Years
Core academic grounding with inquiry and independent learning habits.
The Millennium Middle Years
An elementary qualification aligned to national and international examinations.
IGCSE / O Level and Matriculation
A broad curriculum with dual national and international routes.
Cambridge A Level
Advanced specialisation, critical thinking and university preparation.
International Baccalaureate
Globally benchmarked, with an emphasis on research and reflection.
Extended Learner Development
Enrichment, leadership, sport and competitions.
Offering both national and international streams under one roof is deliberate. Families should not have to choose between a globally portable qualification and one rooted in Pakistan's own examination system.
Supporting every stage is our MATRIX platform, which connects coursework, assessment and parent communication across all campuses, and TechEdX, our future-skills programming in coding, AI and robotics. Standards are held steady nationwide by the Millennium Institute of Professional Development, which trains our educators, and the School Evaluation and Enhancement Department, which audits delivery at every campus.
Each of our partnerships puts something concrete into a learner's hands: a qualification a foreign university recognises, a second or third language, a certification employers value.
A TME graduate leaves with a qualification that travels, and often with Mandarin or German alongside English and Urdu. It means we are measured not only against other schools in Pakistan, but against institutions worldwide.
TME operates purpose-built campuses across Islamabad, Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Jammu & Kashmir. Every campus is designed around learning, with laboratories, libraries, ICT suites and sports facilities, and every campus is held to the same academic and operational standard.
We are also part of a wider group spanning early childhood to higher education: Future World School, the Millennium Institute of Technology & Entrepreneurship, and The Millennium Universal College. A learner's pathway with us need not end at school.

Choosing a school is one of the most consequential decisions a family makes. We would welcome the chance to show you ours: the classrooms, the teachers, and the standard we hold ourselves to.
