Islamabad March 02, 2018: China Radio International CRI-Roots Millennium Confucius Classroom in collaboration with the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China, Cultural Counselor Office, Islamabad organized a significant visit of the Ambassador of China His Excellency Mr. Yao Jing, Director Education at the Cultural office and Director CRI Confucius Classroom Pakistan Mr. Chen Xiang for the Chinese New Year and Spring Festival celebration and Inauguration of CRI-Millennium Roots Confucius Classroom Library at Roots Millennium Schools’ One World Campus E-11/4, Islamabad last day says a press release.
The Ambassador of China was warmly welcomed by the Founder & CEO Millennium Chinese Language Department Chaudhry Faisal Mushtaq TI, Director Mrs. Sabina Zakir and Head of the Chinese Language Program Ms. Mona Kanwal at the venue where the ethnic sounds and showering petals embraced his arrival. The Ambassador expressed gratitude to be invited and honored Millennium Roots Schools by inaugurating of the CRI-Millennium Confucius Library, the only School to possess the privilege to be gifted China’s Knowledge Bank in shape of Chinese Books.
The Ambassador witnessed various ethic and traditional performances by young Millennials, alongside Mr. Shaheen, from China Radio International. The Chinese teaching faculty graced the entire show of skill and confidence and enjoyed the spirit of festivity that was exhibited by the Learners of various age group.
Speaking to the Millennial about the Chinese Language Department Ambassador Mr. Yao Jing shared his views about the upcoming events in the year. The Ambassador said in his speech that students must think freely and they should be engaged in physical activities which play a key role in child mental and physical growth. In 2009, I was present on the Launching of Chinese Language initiative by Roots Millennium Schools. This Chinese Language initiative has blossomed and the Millennium Roots Schools have strengthened with the growing number of students learning Chinese Language. The current relation of China and Pakistan has been rightly said by Chaudhary Faisal Mushtaq that CPEC is part of the Collaboration rather it is China Pakistan Education Corridor. We must stay devoted to achieve our dreams as nothing is impossible to achieve in life. Chinese Embassy wishes Roots Millennium Schools Happy new year with opportunities and initiatives. He emphasized on providing scholarship and exchange programs for students.
CRI-Roots Confucius Classroom offers Chinese language classes across the Roots Millennium Schools, in the private sector, with the aim of allowing the students to speak and write Chinese as proficiently as possible. Millennium Chinese Language Department has now 18 Full Time Teachers and nearly 8500 students learning Chinese Language. This has promoted cultural, social, business and educational opportunities among China and Pakistan for the benefit of our future generations.
