The Millennium Education – Pakistan

From Classrooms to Cliffs, Reframing Education and calibrating Pakistaniat under Dr Faisal Mushtaq’s Leadership

Islamabad: The Millennium Education Group Pakistan (TME) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Alpine Club of Pakistan (ACP) to integrate structured adventure education, mountaineering training and environmental stewardship into its academic framework, marking a significant step towards experiential learning in mainstream education.

The MoU was signed at the Head Office of The Millennium Education Group in Islamabad by Major General Irfan Arshad, HI(M), President of the Alpine Club of Pakistan and Member, Pakistan Sports Board, and endorsed on behalf of TME under the leadership of Dr Chaudhry Faisal Mushtaq, TI, Chief Executive of The Millennium Education Group Pakistan. In the presence of TME Leadership, the event ignited with a student-led performance as a tribute to Muhammad Ali Sadpara.

The signing ceremony was attended by Naila Kiani, pioneering Pakistani mountaineer and Sitara-e-Imtiaz recipient, who has summited 12 of the world’s 14 eight-thousand-metre peaks, as well as Asim Khan, an Oxford graduate in AI and global leadership transformation expert and founder of the SoulSafari leadership methodology. Their presence highlighted the role of national and global role models in shaping resilience, leadership and purpose among young learners.

Under the agreement, TME, which operates Roots Millennium Schools, Future World Schools and TMUC universities , will collaborate with ACP, the country’s national federation for mountaineering and sport climbing, to offer safety-led training programmes, youth development initiatives, national-level competitions and environmental awareness sessions for students across its nationwide network. The programmes will be delivered in line with international technical and safety standards.

The partnership also aligns with TME’s broader experiential learning initiatives, including its collaboration with SoulSafari Leadership, reinforcing a shift towards education models that extend beyond classrooms and assessments and anchor learning in lived experience, discipline and environmental responsibility. The signing coincides with the recent conferment of the Entrepreneur of the Year Award on Dr Faisal Mushtaq at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), reflecting the institutional momentum driving cross-sector collaborations of national relevance.

As Pakistan seeks to leverage its geography and youthful population, the MoU signals a growing recognition that leadership development and environmental stewardship must form an integral part of formal education.
